Emerger Fly Fishing based out of Fort Collins Colorado is really making something special with their waxed canvas and leather fly fishing bags. They are a classic and vintage look and with traditional all American craftsmanship they are built to stand the test of time. There are a lot of bags out there that are hip and cool and have all kinds of bells and whistles but this bag seems to have just enough of everything you need.
Made from waxed duck canvas making them semi impervious to water with English bridle leather and brass fittings. The bags dimensions are 11″x 10″ x 4″and an overall 440 cubic inches there is plenty of space in this bag for all your essentials. There is also a zippered storage pocket to hold any extras you might have and can even hold two small fly boxes. Two leather accessory keepers and two grommeted accessory tabs provide a place to attach your tippet spool, floatant, nippers or hemostats.
The unique creel style straps keep your bag at your side and prevent it from swinging around when bending down and maneuvering when trying to land that trophy fish. The straps are also custom set for your right or left hand preference.
I have to be honest, I was afraid to get this beautiful bag even wet or dirty but trust me this bag will last more than a lifetime.
The bag sits comfortably by your side when moving from land to stream and is just light enough that it won’t weigh you down or get in the way.
I have tried a lot of different bags when fishing and this is probably my favorite by far.
Chris Freeman is a true artist and shows his passion through his craft. I highly recommend picking up one of these bags. Chris also has fly fishing wallets which are also amazing and built with the same craftsmanship.
