Halloween Day fishing trip out at the Franklin Parker Preserve here in South Jersey. A super quiet morning with frost everywhere and the water like glass. Typically only Chain Pickeral out here in the bogs, but they get enormous. Casting on the still water and watching the ravenous fish attack my flys. Like miniature “Jaws” ripples in the water darting for the streamers I typically use. It was a good day, with lots of fish caught. We will fish here a lot through the winter. Even when there’s ice on the bogs.
