“The sun was warm but the wind was chill. You know how it is with an April day”-Robert Frost
Between moving out of the Pine Barrens area and getting a promotion at work, life has been crazy lately. My wife and I decided to go fishing for my birthday this past weekend down the shore area. We found lake in the Tuckahoe area, not too far from Ocean City, NJ. We took our dog too out there, he usually joins us on our adventures.
It was a beautiful 78 out but the wind was blowing strong across the lake. Between being near the coast and it already being windy out, we had a steady wind at our faces all afternoon. We didn’t have much luck out there, we were in the peak time of when fish were least active. It was nice just getting out though, this winter seemed like eternity. As I write this it is 42° outside. I haven’t been able to get out on a day that’s either not windy or not downpouring rain. Hopefully next time I’m off, the fishing gods will give me a beautiful sunny day. If so, I’ll be sure to let yall know.
